CALGARY, Canada – Antrim Energy (LON:AEY) says there have been weather-related delays in the build-up to first oil from the Causeway field development in the UK northern North Sea.
However, all subsea work is complete and topsides commissioning is under way at the hostNorth Cormorant platform, with first oil expected in early November.
The Cyclone exploration well, operated by Premier Oil in block 21/7b (Antrim 30%), should spud in November, targeting Tertiary Cromarty sandstone at about 5,000 ft (1,524 m) TVD.
