BOULOGNE-BILLANCOURT, France – Vallourec will provide seamless linepipe to Technip (PARIS:TEC) for Ithaca Energy’s Greater Stella Area development in the UK central North Sea.
Technip will take delivery during 1Q 2013of the 96 km (59 mi) of coated line. This will comprise 62.6 km (39 mi) of 10-in. (25.4-cm) pipe for gas export lines and 33.5 km (21 mi) of 10-in. pipe for oil export lines.
The Greater Stella Area is in block 30/06a. The linepipe will be installed in a water depth of about 85 m (279 ft).
The pipes will have a three-layer polypropylene (3LPP) coating to protect against corrosion and waxing.
Vallourec subsidiary Serimax will weld the pipes at Technip’s spoolbase in Evanton, Scotland.
