HOUSTON – TGS and PGS have started a new 20,000-km (12,427-mi) multi-client 2D survey over the northeast Newfoundland shelf.
TheM/V Sanco Spirit is acquiring the data using PGS GeoStreamer technology. Data acquisition will continue into the early part of the fall, and the vessel will return in 2013 to complete the survey.
The survey area covers oil discoveries including Hibernia, Terra Nova, Hebron, White Rose, and the recentMizzen find.
Initial data will be available to clients early next year.
