Offshore staff
RIO DE JANEIRO –Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. has started presalt oil production at well 7-BAZ-02-ESS offshore in the Campos basin through the Cidade de Anchieta FPSO.
Initial production is estimated at 20,000 b/d. Peak production is scheduled to reach 100,000 b/d when work is complete on nine additional wells – six producers and three injection wells – in February 2013.
The FPSO is in Baleia Azul field in the area known as Parque das Baleias, off the coast of the state of Espírito Santo. The vessel is dedicated to presalt production from Baleia Azul, Jubarte, and Pirambu fields. All are held 100% by Petrobras.
