WOKING, UK –The second phase of Spectrum’s 2D seismic project offshore Brazil is underway to acquire 6,000 km in the Foz do Amazonas basin. The initial phase covered 15,000 km.
The program is designed to cover sector blocks expected to be included in the11th license round in 2013.
The seismic data is being acquired by theHawk Explorer and the data will be processed at Spectrum’s processing center in Houston, with the final products scheduled for delivery during 1Q 2013.
“These programs have all been designed to infill to a tighter grid to enable the industry to map the prospective areas with a higher resolution and confidence,” said Richie Miller, EVP North & South America for Spectrum. “Our permit will allow Spectrum to add even more kilometers of infill in this emerging frontier exploration area.”
