SANDNES, Norway – Eni Norge has contracted Apply Sørco for operations and maintenance support on the GoliatFPSO in the Barents Sea.
Apply Sørco personnel will form part of the permanent facility crew, and will provide services linked to electrical and mechanical installation and maintenance, instrumentation, process, and crane and deck operations.
The three-year contract includes support of operational preparations prior to the field coming onstream.
Eni Norge expects to award contracts for maintenance and modifications later this year.
Petroleum Safety Authority Norway has approved the use of the semisubmersibleScarabeo 8 for appraisal drilling on the Goliat field.
This relates to well 7122/7 in production license 229, in a water depth of 382 m (1,253 ft). The operation is expected to last about 50 days.
