Offshore staff
STOCKHOLM, Sweden – The semisubmersible Transocean Arctic has spudded a new appraisal well on the northeastern part of the Johan Sverdrup field in the Norwegian North Sea.
According to operator Lundin Norway,16/2-13 is being drilled 2.5 km (1.55 mi) north east of the 16/2-6 discovery well in license PL501.
The main aim is to determine the top reservoir, reservoir quality and thickness, and oil/water contact in this of part of the field.
Planned TD is 2,150 m (7,054 ft). Drilling should last about 45 days.
