    BP cleared for well in Norwegian Sea

    BP Norge is now cleared by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate for an exploratory well in the Norwegian Sea, east of the Marulk field.

    OSLO, Norway – BP Norge is now cleared by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate for an exploratory well in the Norwegian Sea, east of the Marulk field.

    The semisubmersiblePolar Pioneerwill drill well 6507/3-9 S in production license 212 E, comprising block 6507/3.

    This will be the first well drilled on the license.
