GE to supply subsea production equipment for Cheviot

ATP Oil & Gas (UK) Ltd. has contracted GE Oil & Gas (NYSE: GE) to supply subsea production equipment and ancillary systems for the Cheviot field development in the UK North Sea.

HOUSTON– ATP Oil & Gas (UK) Ltd. has contracted GE Oil & Gas (NYSE: GE) to supply subsea production equipment and ancillary systems for the Cheviot field development in the UK North Sea.
Under the $80-million contract, GE will provide wellheads, subsea Xmas trees, and a subsea control system that will be used in conjunction with ATP’sOctabuoy floating production and storage facility. GE will also provide system engineering and design, procurement, and on-site testing services.
Product shipments will begin in February 2013 with installation later in the year. Commercial operations are expected to begin in 2014.
The Cheviot field lies approximately 100 km (62 mi) east of the Shetland Isles in the northern part of the North Sea.
