Intergraph software to support UK Cygnus gas project

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama –GDF SUEZ E&P UK has acquired a full Intergraph SmartPlant Enterprise engineering suite, including SmartMarine 3D.

It will use the information management, plant operations, electrical, instrumentation, and 3D design functions for operations on its planned Cygnus gas field development in the UK southern North Sea.

Cygnus extends over blocks 44/12a and 44/11a, and is one of the UK’s largest undeveloped gas fields. The sanction is targeted for mid-2012.

Intergraph’s software will provide a fully integrated engineering information management system for engineering and operations. The package covers the full Intergraph suite, including SmartPlant Enterprise for Owner Operators (SPO) Core/Project Execution/Operating Plant solutions, Validation, Transformation and Loading (VTL), SmartPlant Instrumentation, SmartPlant Electrical, SmartPlant P&ID, SmartMarine 3D, and SmartPlant Construction.
