STAVANGER, Norway – Norske Shell has awarded Ocean Installer a letter of intent for an EPCI contract in the Norwegian Sea, valued at $138-155 million.
This relates to further development of the subsea infrastructure of theDraugen field, where Norske Shell plans to drill four infill wells to increase recovery and accelerate oil production at the field.
Ocean Installer will be responsible for procurement and installation of 18.5 km (11.5 mi) of oil production and gas lift flexible flowlines and jumpers, including a pull-in to the Draugen platform; 21 km (13 mi) of umbilical, also to be tied into the platform; a T-manifold and protection covers, along with supply of rock dump, and detailed engineering.
The project should be completed in 2014. Ocean Installer will execute project management and engineering from its headquarters in Stavanger, and will deploy the construction vesselsNormand Clipper and Normand Mermaid for most of the offshore work.
