SINGAPORE – Statoil has awarded EMAS AMC a $57-million subsea, umbilical, risers and flowlines (SURF) contract for the Fram H-Nord development offshore Norway.
The field is in the Troll C/Fram area in the northern Norwegian North Sea. This will be the third phase of development of the Fram field which is tied back to the Troll C platform.
Fram H-Nord will be developed with one satellite well tied back to the existing infrastructure at the Fram Vest A2 template via twin flowlines and a control and service umbilical.
EMAS AMC’s scope includes the engineering, procurement, transport and installation of one 10-in. (25-cm) flexible production line and one 4-in. (10-cm) gas injection line, each 5.3 km (3.3 mi) long.
Additionally, the company will be responsible for installation of the integrated template structure and manifold; the 5.3-km subsea control umbilical; nearby protection structures; tie-ins of all lines to the Fram H Nord and Fram Vest A2 manifolds, plus precommissioning/testing; trenching and rock dumping of all line systems; supply and installation of protection covers over tie-in areas at the Fram H Nord and Fram Vest A2 templates.
EMAS AMC will manage the contract from its office in Oslo, and start offshore work this summer.
