LONDON – Premier Oil says a major brownfield development project has been sanctioned for its Anoa production complex in the Natuna Sea off Indonesia.
TheAnoa Phase 4 project will upgrade the compression facilities to increase production capacity, extending the field’s assumed plateau output and developing around 200 bcf of gas. Work should be completed in 2013.
Elsewhere on the block, tendering is under way for an engineer, procure, construct, and install (EPCI) contract for two wellhead platforms and connecting pipelines for development of the Pelikan and Naga fields.
Final project sanction and contract award is expected in mid-2012, with the aim of securing future gas supplies to existing Singapore and Indonesia sales contracts.
