Offshore staff
EDINBURGH, UK – Bowleven says it has completed processing of data from 3D/4C OBC seismic acquired over parts of its Etinde permit offshore Cameroon.
The data, covering the IE and IF fields, has improved imaging through the IF gas chimney and volcanic carapace above the IE field.
Bowleven plans to combine the results of the interpretation with the existing dynamic reservoir model over IE to select new appraisal drilling locations.
The company has secured a rig to drill two wells this year on itsCameroon discoveries, plus two contingent wells, starting probably in mid-2012.
It has also made progress on its preferred Etinde development concept. The preference is for a hub and spoke development with the hub processing facilities onshore linked to offshore producing wells (the spokes).
This set-up should allow phased development across different blocks of the Etinde permit, potentially facilitating early liquids production, and allowing more ‘spokes’ to be added as further discoveries are made.
The concept is integral to the draft resources development authorization, which theEtinde partner will shortly submit to the Cameroon authorities.
