Norske Shell has contracted Aker Subsea to supply subsea connection systems for expansion of the Draugen field development in the Norwegian Sea.

FORNEBU, Norway – Norske Shell has contracted Aker Subsea to supply subsea connection systems for expansion of the Draugen field development in the Norwegian Sea.
The contract value is roughly $18.4 million.
Aker’s work scope includes delivery of complete tie-in connection systems for production flowlines and umbilicals. The company has been supplying these systems to Draugen since 2002.
Management, engineering and procurement will be performed at Aker Solutions’ head office in Fornebu, with deliveries scheduled during 2012 and 2013.
Draugen field is in block 6407/9 in the Haltenbanken area, 140 km (87 mi) from Kristiansund, in a water depth of 250 m (820 ft).
