    Statoil resumes exploration on North Sea Oseberg field

    Statoil has authorization from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate to drill an exploratory well on the Oseberg field in the North Sea.

    OSLO, Norway – Statoil has authorization from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate to drill an exploratory well on the Oseberg field in the North Sea.

    Well 30/6-28 S will be drilled by the COSL Pioneer in license 053, at a location between the Oseberg A and Oseberg C platforms.

    The license covers parts of block 30/6. Statoil operates, in partnership with Petoro, Total, ExxonMobil, and ConocoPhillips.
