OSLO, Norway – Statoil has awarded Aker Solutions the job of engineering, procurement, and construction of a subsea production system for Svalin. The NOK 400 million ($66.4 million) project is due for delivery in 3Q 2013.
Aker will provide two subsea trees, one four-slot integrated template with process distribution manifold, subsea and topside production control systems, wellhead systems, and remote connections.
Svalin is a fasttrack oilfield project in the middle of the North Sea, about 8 km (5 mi) southwest of the Grane field and approximately 185 km (115 mi) west of Haugesund, in a water depth of approximately 120 m (394 ft).
Management, engineering, and procurement of the subsea production system will be performed primarily at Aker Solutions' headquarters in Oslo. Fabrication and manufacturing will take place in Tranby and Egersund in Norway, and Aberdeen in the UK.
