PERTH, Australia – Woodside Energy has issued a progress update on the North Rankin redevelopment project off Australia’s North West Shelf.
Last month the North Rankin B (NRB) jacket was launched and positioned 100 m (328 ft) from the existing North Rankin A (NRA) platform. Piling is under way to secure the jacket to the seabed.
At yards in South Korea and Indonesia, commissioning of the NRB topsides and fabrication of the NRA-NRB bridge-links both are ongoing. Modifications are being conductedon NRA for process tie-ins and bridge links.
The project remains on budget and on schedule for completion in 2013.
