TRONDHEIM, Norway – Det norske has awarded three of the main contracts for its Jette development in the central Norwegian North Sea.
Early in September, the company submitted a plan for development and operation of Jette in blocks 25/7 and 25/8. The field, in a water depth of 127 m (416 ft), will be produced via two horizontal wells tied back to the ExxonMobil-operated Jotun FPSO.
Cameron will supply the subsea production system, fabricating the christmas trees and protective structures.
Subsea 7 will be responsible for engineering, procurement, fabrication, and installation of a 6-km (3.7 mi) flexible flowline and jumpers. Subsea 7 will also installation a 6-km integrated services umbilical (to be fabricated by Aker Solutions), the christmas trees and protective structures, and provide diver assisted tie-ins.
The Jette project management team is based in Trondheim and Stavanger (drilling operations). Offshore operations should start during fall 2012.
