ELLON, UK – Subsea contractors Marin Group and Ecosse Subsea Systems have teamed to provide a one-stop excavation and trenching service to the oil and gas sector worldwide.
The association combines Marin's Evo System mass-flow excavation, claycutting, and jet sled technology with Ecosse’s SCAR plough for pre-cut, simultaneous, and post- lay trenching.
The latter is designed for launch and operation primarily from a conventional anchor-handling vessel without the need for lifting apparatus, but it can also be mobilized from dive support vessels. Its 2-10 m (6.5-33-ft) trenching depth capability has attracted interest in ice-affected arctic regions and the Caspian Sea.
