ERLANGEN, Germany – Bluewater Industries has contracted Siemens Energy to provide integrated mechanical and electrical equipment for the Cheviot field platform in the UK North Sea.
Siemens’ will supply two SGT-300 gas-turbine-driven generating sets, two SGT-200 gas-turbine-driven tandem STC-SV compressors, and an E-house (Electrical building). It also will provide a power distribution system comprising medium voltage switchgear, low voltage switchgear, variable frequency drives (Perfect Harmony), an uninterruptible power supply, and automation and telecom systems.
The company’s produced water treatment systems from Siemens will employ hydro-cyclone and gas floatation technology. Siemens will be responsible for all interface engineering between all supplied equipment and modules/skids.
The topsides skids and modules will be installed on the floating production and drilling facility at the ATP-operated Cheviot field in blocks 2/10b, 2/15a and 3/1.
