OSLO, Norway – The semisub Borgland Dolphin is completing operations on the Phoenix prospect in license PL 559 in the Norwegian Sea.
According to operator Rocksource, the well encountered reservoir sands in the Jurassic upper Åre formation, the lower Åre formation, the Grey Beds, and in the upper part of the Triassic Red Beds, but it did not encounter hydrocarbons.
Data acquisition continues in the well, and the information will be used for further evaluation of the license.
