LONDON – ConocoPhillips is on track to submit next month a field development plan for the Katy field (ex-Harrison) in the UK southern gas basin.
According to partner Tullow Oil, the program will be submitted to the UK authorities in early September, with a view to drilling a well in 2012.
In the same sector, the jackup Ensco 80 has discovered Carboniferous gas in the Tullow-operated Cameron-1 prospect.
Well 44/19a-7a, spudded in April, has since been suspended for future re-entry via a development side track. The results will be integrated into a reservoir model to assess the find’s commerciality.
