HOUSTON -- Cameron’s process systems group has received an $86-million order for sixteen multiphase pumping systems to be installed on three offshore platforms in the KuMaloobZaap field in the Mexican sector of the Gulf of Mexico.
Cameron will provide design engineering and packaging for the systems, which will include pumps, electric motors, piping, valves, and control systems. The multiphase pumps will be provided by Leistritz Corp., and will be manufactured in Germany. The multiphase pumping systems are designed to boost pipeline delivery pressure and increase crude oil production rates.
Delivery and installation of the systems are expected to take place in 2011.
