SYDNEY, Australia – The Ocean Patriot has started the 2009 drilling program at Basker-Manta-Gummy in the Gippsland basin offshore southeastern Australia according to Anzon Australia Pty Ltd.
Work is under way on a workover at Basker-5 and a multi-zone recompletion at Basker-3 is scheduled to follow. Then, drilling of the Basker-7 development well is slated.
“The workovers and the B7 well will provide additional valuable reservoir and production data for the planning of future development activities for both the current Phase 1 Oil Project and the future Phase 2 Gas Project," says Bruce Clement, ROC Oil’s CEO. ROC is Anzon’s parent company.
