Offshore staff
WALLINGFORD, UK –Fugro has launched the first of several moves aimed at its offshore geotechnical and marine survey services consultancy. Global GeoConsulting Service will be established in Europe, the US, and in the Asia/Pacific region, Fugro says.
The entity will operate across Fugro's geotechnical and survey divisions to offer a range of engineering geoscience, geohazard, and geotechnical consulting services through one company. The services will be augmented by strategic alliances and additional staff, Fugro says.
For Europe, a unit is being established at Great Yarmouth, UK, as part of Fugro Ltd. the expanded company will be renamed Fugro GeoConsulting Ltd.
In Houston, a specialist engineering geology and geohazard group in Fugro GeoServices will merge with elements of the geotechnical engineering consultant Fugro McClelland Marine Geosciences Inc. to form Fugro GeoConsulting Inc.
The Asia/Pacific operation is being defined.
