GREAT YARMOUTH, UK --Perenco has commissioned a new 12-man accommodation complex for its Trent gas production platform in the UK southern North Sea.
Consafe Engineering Services in Aberdeen will build the module under a $2.97-million contract. The main challenges are an in-place weight limit of 120 metric tons (132 tons), and a fast-track delivery of 17 weeks from contract award.
The complex will comprise 10 modular units on two levels, with six high-spec cabins and en-suite shower rooms, a galley with kitchen and storage, and other facilities. All the modules will be fabricated in Scotland and outfitted in Aberdeen. Consafe also will manage installation and integration on the platform.
