SINGAPORE --Singapore's Keppel Shipyard Ltd. will deliver its latest FPSO to Prosafe Production Pte. Ltd. in March for deployment in the Tui area development offshore New Zealand.

The naming ceremony for theUmuroa FPSO was held Feb. 15. The FPSO is expected to be on production in 2Q 2007, Keppel says.

TheUmuroa FPSO can process 120,000 b/d of oil, but will only be producing about 50,000 b/d from the field. The vessel's gas compression capacity is 25 MMcf/d, which will initially be flared, but is to be pumped back into the reservoir eventually to increase pressure for oil production. Oil storage capacity is 770,000 bbl.

The FPSO will operate under a 10-year contract, with the first five years confirmed and the following five years based on annual renewal.

The Tui field, operated by Australian Worldwide Exploration Ltd., lies in 120 m (394 ft) water depth in the Taranaki basin 95 km (59 mi) southwest of New Plymouth. The field has reported reserves of 27.9 MMbbl
