Tekmar Group companies secure subsea contracts

Pipeshield International and Subsea Innovation have been awarded several offshore contracts, with delivery expected this year.

A variety of hard objects (e.g., scaffold poles, drill collars, pumps, valves and even whole containers) are known to have been lost offshore, and the consequences of an unexpected impact on a subsea structure or pipeline could be catastrophic. Pipeshield designs and manufactures protective products.

ENGLAND — Tekmar Group companies Pipeshield International Ltd. and Subsea Innovation Ltd. have been awarded several offshore contracts.

Pipeshield products are engineered to provide protection and stabilization to cables, pipelines and subsea assets in all seabed conditions.

Pipeshield International has been awarded multiple contracts from an offshore EPC contractor to provide pipeline support and protection materials for major subsea construction projects in the Middle East. The contracts include the design, manufacturing and supply of concrete sleepers, concrete mattresses and associated equipment. The products will be manufactured at Pipeshield’s regional supply bases in Damman (KSA) and Doha (Qatar). The combined value of the projects is more than £8 million, with delivery expected in first-half 2023.

Subsea Innovation has been awarded a contract for a bespoke turnkey launch and recovery (LAR) system. The scope of this contract includes the design and build of the A-frame, winch with interchangeable drum sets, hydraulic power unit and transport frames. The contract value is about £2 million and is expected to be delivered by December 2023.
