Offshore staff
NORTH SHIELDS, UK — SSE Renewables has contracted Ventus Energy to perform maintenance services for the transmission facilities at the Seagreen wind farm in the UK North Sea.
HV specialist Ventus will operate across primary and secondary equipment at the offshore and onshore substations, ensuring performance levels and minimized transmission downtime.
The company will also supply senior authorized persons for 66-kV, while its sister company RTS Wind will provide mechanical-based maintenance, including visual inspections of the offshore substation platform and jacket structure, and statutory inspections of access ladders, fall arrest systems and lifting equipment.
Seagreen, owned by Total Energies and SSE Renewable, is 27 km off the east coast county of Angus. The site has 114 turbines and became fully operational last October.
